Day Two: 3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge

Books – books are large collections of words which come together to tell a story.  One of my favorite parts of reading books is coming across specific combinations of words, coming across quotes which illicit a response – they either make you think or feel something, and that is beautiful.  I want to take the opportunity to again thank the ever wonderful Ashley @ What’s She Reading? for the nomination!  If you aren’t already, check out her blog and give her a follow!

Rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
  3. Nominate 3 new bloggers each day.

The second quote I am going to share is from one of the books I am currently reading:

Throne of Glass, book 1 in Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas

We each survive in our own way.~Celaena Sardothien

This quote may be short, but it is still incredibly powerful.  The entire idea of survival is dependent upon the individual in question because each of us deals with situations differently and each of us has different strengths – this is just basic human nature.  Each and every individual is going to react in a manner which plays to their biggest strengths in order to survive a given situation, while some may exhibit similar ways of doing things this doesn’t imply sameness because the reasons for their actions could be vastly different.  Celaena’s willingness and strength to survive during the competition is likely vastly different from that of say Cain, because each of them possess different motivations as well as knowledge and strength.  To me, this quote represents the idea that there is no wrong way to survive – you do what you have to do to survive.

Nominations:

No pressure though!  If this isn’t your type of tag, then don’t feel like you have to participate!  But if you choose to do so, I will be looking forward to reading your quotes!

Until tomorrow<3
